Stephanie - I read this book called Walking With God, by John Eldredge, a couple years ago. It talked a lot about how having a relationship with God and how being able to hear His voice was something that developed over time. I was intrigued by the idea that it takes practice to recognize God's voice and that it is something you can get better and better at. I agree so much with what you said. Our relationship with God grows and our faith grows as we get more and more experiences with Him. We learn more and more that He is trustworthy. I think it can be easy to get discouraged early on in our faith and it helps to keep in mind as you said that it gets easier with time.

Evan, I want to hear about your discussion with Michael. I think personalities probably play into how we move in our faith as well. Certainly some people are naturally more into taking risks. I hadn't thought about that.

I personally feel that the first big step of faith is the hardest, but after that it gets easier and more exciting every time you hear God's voice and are challenged to take that next step!
