Just this past weekend I got to attend a Baby Shower tea for a new friend of mine. I love tea parties.

Since I had been over to their home previously and had a peak at their baby’s room, I had the idea of creating a gift that would match their decor.

I made this little felt block in blues and brown and gold and created a little turtle to stitch on one side to match the baby’s room. I also put a couple jingle bells in with the stuffing before I stitched it closed, so it makes some noise. I first learned about this cute idea in a book by Amanda Soule. The blanket stitching on the edges is really easy and makes this a quick little project.

I made one for Luther for Christmas last year, and he continues to enjoy walking around with it and shaking it.
