I use coconut in my recipe. I think it's yummy, but I love coconut :O)! My recipe uses some brown sugar, wheat bran, and oat bran. We've put banana chips in ours and that was really good!

wow mandy, thanks! i use to love granola at milligan although i'd take out the raisans (sp?). i've not had it in ages, but i think andy would love it! he usually has muesli in his cereal anyway. though i don't think i've ever seen wheat germ or soy flour in the shops...i wonder if i'd have to go to a specialty shop. will have a try. and i definitely like your additions as i would prefer it on the sweet side too. coconut would be nice in it too i'd say as it would probalby stick in with everything and wouldn't float too much!
will have to go and shop around now!

So glad that you shared this recipe. I posted one yesterday and as I was posting it, it was burning in my oven. I DID have to throw away an entire batch! So now maybe I'll try yours instead.
ps. our kids love it sprinkled on yogurt
