Today I had some help with the baby and I began to clean the house. Then I realized I really needed to just take a bath. So I did. Lucky for me because tonight was he monster bedtime meltdown that included 45 minutes of nonstop screaming by the one and a half year old. I was totally fine and never once felt overwhelmed by it. Much less has overwhelmed me in the past when I have not had my rest. So I am grateful I had the bath today. Also grateful to have awareness brought to it by your talk!
It’s so true, isn’t it Karen. Rest is so essential to us. Why do we fight it so? Glad you were prepared to deal with a fussy baby. This Mom stuff is certainly not easy. We missed you.
