As an artist I seem to have this insatiable urge to be making something. It can be frustrating when a day goes by and it feels like I made nothing. It clicked in my mind this week that in actuality no day goes by in which I haven’t made something. I just may have to think outside my box of the word “make.”
For instance, this week I made:
- a friend
- several meals
- love
- a peaceful spirit in my home
- an appointment specifically for my artist heart
- a video
- a list
- a clean back porch
- a blog entry
- a journal entry
- a new discovery in photography
- progress
- muffins for my family and for neighbors
- clean clothes
- dirty clothes
- a phone call
- plans
- a race car track
- a picnic
- a gift
- a healthy choice
- a spiritual connection
And the list goes on.
It’s all a matter of how you look at it really. We are more creative then we give ourselves credit for. We eat, drink and breathe “making” really. What are you making today?
