Make

As an artist I seem to have this insatiable urge to be making something. It can be frustrating when a day goes by and it feels like I made nothing. It clicked in my mind this week that in actuality no day goes by in which I haven’t made something. I just may have to think outside my box of the word “make.”

For instance, this week I made:

  • a friend
  • several meals
  • love
  • a peaceful spirit in my home
  • an appointment specifically for my artist heart
  • a video
  • a list
  • a clean back porch
  • a blog entry
  • a journal entry
  • a new discovery in photography
  • progress
  • muffins for my family and for neighbors
  • clean clothes
  • dirty clothes
  • a phone call
  • plans
  • a race car track
  • a picnic
  • a gift
  • a healthy choice
  • a spiritual connection

And the list goes on.

It’s all a matter of how you look at it really. We are more creative then we give ourselves credit for. We eat, drink and breathe “making” really. What are you making today?
