The reason the trash is so bad is because of our beloved Oklahoma wind. Each Thursday (trash day), our street gets "littered" with trash. It's so gross and sad. By Wednesday of the next week, it's all cleaned up and ready for the next wind to come blowin' through. I love that you got to enjoy the weather (along with friends:)

The chocolate chip scones look wonderful. Awesome baby stroller. I think it's great that you are committed to not being on the computer as much. I go through phases where I try but always have an excuse -- bills to pay, lesson plans to write, etc. And then the other stuff creeps back in. You've challenged me once again. The dress up clothes I bought (spent too much) at Babies R Us last year when Caleb and Josiah had a heroes night at my parents' church (when we were in transition). They have been well loved though.

I love the idea of lighting candles to make myself recognize that what we are doing is special. Thanks for that idea!

love it that zoe hates the trash!! * cute and simple thoughts. makes me realize again how natural it is for us to want to protect our home/space/environment. and love the home-made scones - thats how i feel about soup and sandwiches and chocolate covered things - you make them and realize how wonderful you can make them and so much cheaper! and then they stop even being temping out in the world. but i haven't made scones... share the recipe when you have time!
and magic.... i ceremoniously ride the escalator down from floor 2 to 1 at work ever time i leave. that is not how i go in - just how i leave. i could take the elevator from 9 all the way to 1 but i love the grandour and *magic* of riding down that excalator early in the morning... going home. and i light candles. prob a non-parent thing as i imagine its not terribly child-friendly. but i light candles every night. makes me recognize that i think its special that what we are doing or i am doing is worth noting. makes me pause, take note. of many things... special. i love the pics that you take. looks from here like all is well in your world -- thinking of you always!
