I saw those chocolate cookies and had to make some. We didn’t have peppermint so I used crushed orange creme savers. They turned out just wonderful. Thanks for the inspiration. My step-mom is requesting them for her birthday, lol!

Erica – You know, I think this was the felt I purchased at an estate sale. It was $3 for a whole big tub of it. It was a great find! Maybe Michaels or JoAnns has vibrant felt?

The icing colors are made using concentrated paste instead of regular liquid food coloring (which is what I’ve previously always used.) I bought mine at Michaels. They had a bunch of different colors. They were a couple bucks each I think.

Mandy, you are so inspiring!! I always get hung up on what the kids could make each other and give up before I start. But what I really want to know is – where did you learn to cook – cause I know you Mom stores books in her oven!;)
