…So we had cinnamon rolls, balloons, gift-opening and lunch at her pick, “The Big Red Bird.”
Then we played putt-putt in the afternoon.
We went to church in the evening, and had friends over afterwards for pizza and cake. The cake I made was chocolate with chocolate icing. That was a very sweet and important detail in Charis’ day.
And she says to me today, “I’ve never lived in this house when I’m 4. But now I do.” You’re right girl, now you do. At least for a couple more weeks.

4 is a wonderful number. Relish the minutes. The years fly by too fast.
