IF – Stitch Theme, Inspired and Vacation

It was her job, afterall, to hold the home together,
only sometimes it felt like the threads in her stitching were going to break.

This week at Illustration Friday the theme is “stitch.” I went with a more mixed media approach this week, using pencil, charcoal, acrylic paints, and paper collage in my moleskine sketchbook. I really like the smooth texture of that paper for acrylic painting.

Also, there is a new post up on Your Actual this week, all focused on being “inspired.” Check it out.

I’m amping up to go on vacation for two weeks. We leave in two days to visit family back in Ohio. So I’m flitting between work on the computer, packing, laundry and to-do lists. I did get to exercise and journal this morning though, so I feel more energetic to take it all on.
