No Guarantee

in Life Learnings, art

Shalae recently asked me when she might see a new art journal page about God’s promises. I begin in January to study God’s promises for myself and I’ve done a lot of written journaling about those. I have not done a lot of art journaling. However I did work on a page today. I’ve been frustrated in a “waiting” period of my life and wanted to process those thoughts. I’ve been struck by a realization that while God does give His children promises, there are also things we have no guarantee on. And that can be frustrating.

I used lots of paint, a black pen, some free stickers I got in the mail from a CK promotion, and a few self-portraits. It’s done in a sketchbook moleskine that I use for my art journal.

Yeah!!! Maybe I need to request more often.:) These are awesome Mandy and I love the honesty of this one. So straightforward and true. Often times it is HARD. Hang in there. You guys are too good and he’ll pull through.
